Bobby Lieb

President & CEO
Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce

Currently serves as President & CEO at the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce. Bobby took over this role in June 2019 after being hired as the Vice President of Economic Development at the Chamber in 2017.

Prior to moving to Houston in 2016 with his wife Meredith, he spent the majority of his youth and career life in Durango, Colorado, where he worked for the family’s garment manufacturing and retail company. Bobby & Meredith also owned and operated a clothing retail store in Newport, RI immediately after college, before returning to Durango to resume work with the family business.

Bobby transitioned out of the family business in 2000, to head up Durango’s newly founded economic development organization, and successfully merged it with the Chamber of commerce 3 years later where he continued to serve as executive director of both operations for 3 more years.

In 2006, Bobby moved back over to the private sector as a project manager for a new business park development at the Airport. This project was fraught with political acrimony from the local county commissioners and so in the 2010 Bobby ran for La Plata County Commissioner, serving one term before moving back into commercial real estate.

Bobby’s proudest achievement is the 3 children he and Meredith raised, who have all moved on to pursue their passions and successful careers.

Received a BS in International Marketing from Arizona State University.
Additional information and notable achievements can be found on my LinkedIn profile:

Point of Interest: Originally from Newport Beach, CA, Bobby’s parents closed a successful women’s swimwear company in 1976 and moved the whole family to Wengen, Switzerland for two years before moving to Durango.
